"Where Is Comfort?"

Sounds that inspire

The sound of a trains whistle makes me to stop in my tracks

foggy morning by MemaNH

This photo represents patience while I wait

Mystery unfolds as the fog lifts exposing...   In the distance I see the sun peek out from the eastern sky.   The darkness that once was night has gone revealing a new day.  Let the procession begin...

I cannot control my circumstances, but I can control how I react to my circumstances.

Faith can see past the circumstance, sees the forest in spite of the trees
are the lyrics from a song, "In the Palm Of Your Hand" by Alison Krauss,
an American bluegrass-country singer-songwriter and musician.

How do you handle change?

I recently asked one particular girl with shoulder length blue hair.  I asked her why she had blue hair?  She told me that she colors her hair different colors because she likes change.  I complemented her courage and said that I was jealous of her and wished I personally was more easy going about handling change...

Call me a creature of habit.

I struggle during times of change, change fortunately or more eloquently said, unfortunately is not something I can avoid.   The past months several have brought with them consistent, ongoing change.   With change I feel to best describe it I can compare myself to a air filled punching bag filled standing upright by the sand that fills my base designed to keep me from stumbling over and falling or losing my balance.    The onset and during my exposure to change brings about a wobbly perspective as I sway back staggering until the sand in my base regain my form.    Again and again over and over as I rebound from each experience of change.    Change is similar to an obstacle course.  Where can I find shelter from the storm? One way I escape is to listen to music.

Let  me recommend, Big Daddy Weave, contemporary Christian band. Mike Weaver (lead singer), Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk, and Brian Beihl.

 "Embrace change"

According toAni Chibukhchyan
“If you do not create change, change will create you.” ~Unknown
We are often resistant to change, and we don’t realize that change itself is constant.

People usually avoid changes and prefer to stay in their comfort zones.

Changes bring new beginnings and excitement to life.

food
Eat food and drink beverages that make you feel good, that make you feel great, that nourish and energize your body. Listen to your body, it knows exactly what you need. When you crave cookies and cake consider that maybe what your body really wants is a fruit salad topped with low-fat yoghurt. A home-made vegetable soup might make you feel more profoundly satisfied then rushing to a fast food restaurant for your usual treats. Really listen to your body. Make your body happy

origins of comfort

I find comfort in the routine and predictable!
------

I tend to place others before myself.  As I set aside time I stop and listen.  The Lord whispers and  reminds me of what I have once again forgot.  I find myself back to old habits,  "This is your time" to put the me back into myself and return to the top of my own priority list and allow me to restore my value and restore my value to those nearest and dearest my heart.

Rid the unhealthy habits and hold fast to the healthy ones!

It is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks! If you adopt an adult or even a senior dog, you may be amazed at their ability to concentrate and learn new things.

  1. In order to help others, we have to help ourselves first -- and care for our bodies, minds and spirits. It's hard. Thanks for this post!
