"Causability"

"Right <versus> Privilege"

"What makes you rich?"  Knowledge!

This introduced, Theory of Human Motivation by Maslow Hierachy

I remember my dad say, "If public hangings were still allowed the world would be a better place."   What do you think?

What do you believe?  I believe everyone has a purpose!

1.5.2015  Why I do the things I do?  What is my personal truth?

- Take time to examine my beliefs, personal choices and how I want to learn.

- Learn and broaden your horizons and your perspective about different cultures, different beliefs, different traditions and stereotypical views about such cultures.

- Writing is a craft that takes skill and practice.

- What you see depends on where your standing.

- What you feel depends on where you've been.

"Perseverance"

03.11.2015

Perseverance

As the school term nears completion it brings to mind, a race.
A race that I have been in training for weeks to get to the point of crossing the finish line.
I watched a you tube lecture by Randy Pausch as he encouraged his audience to "Achieve their childhood dreams."  His lecture reminded me of my own dream, to go back to school.  I was blessed and reminded that I am living my dream.  It is my hearts desire to continue the race before me and to finish and not only finish but finish big and along my way to receive every good and perfect gift that presents itself.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 1 Corinthians 9:24

"Respect Difference'

02.28.2015
“Respect”

I saw a pre-game commercial on TV before the game last night.  Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers  was seated next to a young girl as he spoke to the camera and saying, “Respect Pass It On.” http://www.nba.com/blazers/respect

This commercial struck me right in my heart I found it this was refreshing and positive.  I rarely watch television and most times that I have I find it to be less than entertaining somewhat discouraging by all the negative coverage but tonight was a pleasant change.

The Trailblazers say to the public through the social media of television and challenge their fans, the challenge is to put RESPECT into action and pass it on!

"Stereotype"

Have you ever judged a book by its cover?

I will take the liberty to guess that most of us have at one time or another.  It is quite probable and possible since we are all human.   On occasion we fall prey to being foolish and not thinking before we speak or act.   Stereotype is a thought that can be adopted about specific types of individuals or certain ways of doing things. So what does thought mean? “Thought” An idea or opinion.  Making it within ones ability to choose.  Let’s choose wisely!

                                        “Opinion”

A view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.  We are all entitled to form an opinion. May we do so by respecting others who are different.

“Prejudice”

Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience

Learn about people from different cultures and allow yourself to become informed. One way is to ask questions.

A friend I met this year told me that if I am curious about her or her culture that I should just ask.  She said she is happy to answer and explain what I wish to know.

Your greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices; and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and toleration you have for others.
